The duo of Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng, have been asked to go home from Ghana’s World Cup camp for indiscipline.
Ghana Football Association stated in a statement released on its website, that both players “have been suspended indefinitely”.
Boateng’s offence was “vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session in Maceio”, while Muntari was punished for an “unprovoked physical attack on an executive committee member”.
This news comes just 24 hours after Ghana’s government sent a chartered plane loaded with over $3m in cash, to pay up the players’ appearance fees and hours before the Black Stars face Portugal in a make-or-make Group G clash.
