The Senate of the University of Ibadan has directed 78 students to
withdraw from the institution for failing to obtain the minimum academic
requirements for the 2012/2013 session.
This was contained in a report issued by the Registrar, Olujimi Olukoya, and published in the institution’s bulletin.
Olukoya, who said that the senate gave the directive on behalf of
the institution, gave an assurance that the university would continue
to uphold the highest standards in global education system.
The affected students were drawn from 100 to 400 levels in 13 faculties.
A breakdown of the figure indicated that six of gained admission
into the university through Direct Entry mode, 66 through University
Tertiary Matriculation Examination while six came in through the
Unified Matriculation Examination.
